The Hill Gallery Bed and Breakfast is located on a mountain top in the Hampshire Hills of Cummington, MA and has been in existence since 1982. It is one of the three remaining charter B&B's of the original 20 member Hampshire Hills B&B Association. There are currently 19 host homes in the association.

The Hill Gallery B&B is an artist/owner designed nine room, multi level, contemporary home(1976), built and located to insure privacy. We are secluded yet easily accessible from Routes 112, 143 and 9,

The grounds are terraced and well maintained with 2 ponds and a Zen garden that offers rest and relaxation. Great Blue Heron, Wood ducks, Mallards, Hooded Mergansers, Kingfishers, deer, foxes and a moose have been seen at the ponds.

The Shared Areas

All guests are invited to use the living room which contains a working floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace, couches, wing back chairs and a sound system containing a diverse selection of music.

Books, magazines, original paintings and graphics, pottery and plants extend the ambience. There are hardwood oak, cherry floors or wide board plank flooring with oriental rugs through out the house.

The dining room is located at the opposite end of the fireplace and guests enjoy a full American Breakfast seated around an oval table in comfortable captain's chairs.

The 3 large unique Palladian mirrored windows were made from old oak school doors and reflect the antiques and extensive decoy and shore bird collections as well as the outdoors. The living/dining room area has a cathedral ceiling with light wells that send light from the Clerestory windows into both the southern and northern parts of the house.

Your Host

Walter Korzec has been a painter and printmaker and an art college professor for the past 30 years. He maintains a barn studio on the property and in the upper floor of the carriage shed there is an art and antiques gallery. For the most part, art works on display have been produced by local artisans that have been acknowledged in their field.
